Jewelry: Marshallese culture has a long tradition of jewelry adornment. Ancient chieftains adorned themselves with necklaces crafted from shell, coral, bone, and turtle shell, often featuring a central ornament. Commoners typically wore simpler shell strands. In contemporary times, necklaces (known as "MARMARS"), earrings, bracelets, and belts predominantly utilize materials such as cowrie shells, small cone-shaped shells, cat's eyes (the operculum from the limpet snail), and coconut fibers.
